We are BRC AA+ Certified 

We are proud to announce that our company has officially achieved BRC AA+ certification. This recognition confirms that we meet the highest standards in food safety, quality, and hygiene.

A key aspect of this certification is that audits are unannounced, allowing auditors to see our operations exactly as they are.This ensures that the true standards of our production processes are consistently maintained. 

This achievement reinforces the confidence of our customers and partners in the quality and safety of our products.

A behind-the-scenes  with our Quality Manager Pim van Erp:

Directly after the closing meeting of the BRC audit, my colleagues came to celebrate the audit result with me. Of course, I am very proud of this achievement. However, I don’t think that I am the one who deserves to be celebrated. When I told my colleagues this, they asked why I didn’t take the credit — after all, I was the one who spent three full days with the auditor.

For me, the reason is simple: this result is a true team effort. At Primus, quality and food safety are fully integrated into our daily way of working. I’d like to share two examples.

First, our team leaders take responsibility for the work instructions within their departments and train their own teams. That’s why we consistently follow our instructions and procedures.

Second, in which food factory do you see an HR manager performing checks on the work floor to ensure housekeeping rules are followed? At Primus, it’s normal for someone from a completely different department to feel responsible enough to point out or correct a deviation in storage or hygiene practices.

I truly believe that this way of working at Primus is the reason we achieved the AA+ result. That’s why I think it’s not only the Quality Department that deserves to be celebrated — but every Primus employee who contributed to this success.
