The differentiator between the drum dried paper of Primus and plate baked paper of other suppliers is that Primus’ paper is much more flexible. It does not break as easily, as such you can bend it through edible ink printers without an issue – no investment needed in expensive flatbed printing technologies if you use wafer paper! Also, the paper is not as thick and crunchy as plate baked paper and the resolution of printed images looks much nicer because the 100% starch structure of wafer paper absorbs the ink much quicker and in a better way. Doing so this product is your bet if you want to print sheets with the same printer, other materials need to be taken out hand by hand as otherwise the ink is absorbed by the bottom of the next sheet. All this is not happing if you use Primus Wafer Paper.
Printing is not the only use for this type of edible paper. It is also perfect to be colored with edible food-safe ink. Once colored you can cut out great shapes and apply it to your cake, pie or cookie to add your own individual design. It is fun, easy and no limits to the designs and shapes you can create with it. Plus, most other edible papers are produced by small producers in remote areas without proper food regulation and compliance. The wafer paper of Primus is produced in a 24/7 plant in the Netherlands that is BRC A+ certified and the preferred product for all high-end manufacturers of infant nutrition and organic baby products which makes it a reliable choice.
